                                       AGRICULTURE

The practice of AGRICULTURE is never ending it continues as humans continues to eat food . In former days the crops which have been cultivated had a lot of nutritive value, but nowadays the addition of pesticides are becoming more . In my village , while i was small , my grandfather used to take me to the paddy field . He used to say that earlier they won't use any pesticides and it will take 6 months for a paddy crop to grow . Thus , it is harvested every six months . But , nowadays the use of pesticides and chemical fertilisers has increased resulting in the earlier harvesting of crops i.e 3 months . The harvesting period is reduced from 6 MONTHS TO 2 AND HALF MONTHS . This advantage is aided by chemicals and also this leads to loss of nutrients . The crops which we consume now has less nutritive value . The main reason for loss for nutrients is treated water . The water is treated with many chemicals and the source of water is from tap . Earlier days purer form of water from well which is situated near the field is used which also contributes to comfortable and convinent  water supply . The wastage of water has been reduced nowadays . Many hybrid varieties have been cultivated which also contributes to the loss of nutrients in small extent . The above information regarding the water supply and nutritive value is given by a farmer , and the farmer is none other than my father .

  1. Yeah i definitely agree.... nowadays the use of chemicals, inorganic fertilizers and pesticides has been increased... it basically affects the human system as we consume it and as well as the environment and directly the society. The use of these things must be drastically minimized and we must move towards organic supplies.
